Louis E. Adams spent his early life on a farm in rural Ross County near Chillicothe, OH. He is the eldest of eight siblings born to Earsel and Iuka (Daniel) Adams. Louis graduated from Southeastern High School in Richmondale, OH in 1953, and expeditiously joined the U. S. Navy to get an education and " . . . to see the world"! He was soon joined by two brothers, William and Charles, and they served together aboard the USS Tarawa (CVS 40). Following three tours of duty in the Navy, he became an Associate Director of the Peace Corps in Morocco, and was later assigned to a World Health Organization (WHO) post in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He attended Ohio University and graduate school at the University or Cincinnati. He became a faculty member of this University in 1968, and spent the next 28 years doing applied research in Immunology. During this tenure, he was the author or coauthor of over 200 scientific papers, abstracts, and textbook chapters. He still holds an academic rank of Professor Emeritus of Medicine at the University of Cincinnati Medical School.
David Armstrong is the author of Power Training For Football and has had articles published in NSCA Journal, Coach & Athlete, Scholastic Coach and USA Weightlifting Senior Coaches Manual. Mr. Armstrong is currently Strength and Conditioning Coach and Adjunct Professor of Physical Education for Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. The owner of Armstrong & Sons, Inc and Power Training Concepts; Mr. Armstrong has been a Charter member of Certified Strength & Conditioning Association since 1988 and Senior International Coach (governing body for Olympic, World Championship, and Pan American Games). He currently resides in Aurora with his wife and their two sons.
Doris Butt writes a monthly column in Over 50, a local senior paper distributed in southeastern Indiana. Her subjects vary month to month for she writes about events, people and places that thug at her heart. She also writes inspirational articles for her church newsletters. Doris always tries to have a little twist or surprise at the end of her writings. She finished her first book, Dear Readers, in 2006. In it she narrated her daily happenings, put together all her writings and brought them up to date.
Doris and her husband Ray live on the Dearborn County homestead where she was raised. They winter in Inverness, Florida. They have three children and three grandchildren. Doris attended a one-room school that borders her farmstead, Moores Hill High School, Ball State University and Miami University. She was an elementary teacher for 34 years.

Linda Gondosch has written eight books for children, including picture books, early chapter books, and middle grade novels for Random House; Lodestar Books; Little, Brown; and Parker Brothers. One of her books, Who Needs a Bratty Brother?, won the 1988 Kentucky Bluegrass Children's Choice Award. She has also written numerous stories and articles for children's magazines, including Focus on the Family Clubhouse, Pockets, and Hopscotch. Linda's stories are inspired by her own childhood in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as by the adventures of her four children who were raised in the small town of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, on the shores of the Ohio River. As Linda often says, "Stories are a combination of real life and a wild imagination all stirred together." Linda now lives with her husband in Hebron, Kentucky, where she is a substitute teacher in the Kenton County Schools, a reading tutor, as well as a writer. She also enjoys playing her violin in a local orchestra, hiking, visiting her daughter in Alaska, and traveling around the United States. Linda has a BS in Education from Ohio University and a Masters in Education from Northern Kentucky University. She has spoken at over 200 schools and libraries about books and the writing process.

He is the author of Dearborn County, Indiana in Vintage Postcards, as well as two volumes of cemetery records for Dearborn County, with two more in preparation. He is the co-author of Images of America - Muncie, IN. A member of the Dearborn County Historical Society, Mr. Masing has contributed to several local history projects.
Barb Martin, author of The Haunted Pogo Stick, lives in Aurora with her husband and two miniature Schnauzers. She worked with children in an Elementary School Library for nearly twenty-five years. Her next book will be about a multi-cultural child.

The Other UC and Me: Editing the Sixties, a memoir of Judy’s days editing the University of Cincinnati News Record during the Vietnam Conflict, was her first book. Magic Nation Tales, a six-book series for children, soon followed. The Sixth Raven (2022), Judy’s first adult novel, combines history and reality with science fiction and fantasy. The novel reveals Judy’s favorite topics: communication, imagination, paradox, attitude, and heroism. Judy is a lifelong resident of the Tristate. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1967 and earned her Master’s Degree in 1971. She is an avid golfer who serves as the statistician for the Hidden Valley Women’s League. She and her entire family can be seen skiing at Perfect North every winter. Judy’s participation in the Pen Pal Program in Dearborn County led to the Magic Nation Tales Series. One book is dedicated to the children of Moore’s Hill who provided suggestions for the book’s short stories. On numerous occasions, she has spoken to classes regarding her writing. Judy has participated in Books by the Banks and the Dearborn Highlands Art’s Alive Boutique. In the late 1980’s, the Cincinnati Mercantile Library honored her with two scholarships to the Santa Barbara Writer’s Conference. Judy is most proud of her many former students who are journalists and published authors.
Journalist Chris McHenry is the author of The Best Men of Westmoreland, a history of the Lochry expedition, Dearborn County's only Revolutionary War battle. Chris also authored a chapter entitled County Commissioner Records, included in the research volume Finding Indiana Ancestors. A frequent contributor to two local newspapers, The Dearborn County Register and The Journal Press, Chris has long been "fascinated by the stories of life in Dearborn County". Interested in genealogy and local history, Chris serves as Dearborn County Historian, and is a member of the Dearborn County Cemetery Commission and the Dearborn County Historical Society.

She graduated with a degree in English from Purdue University, where she also wrote briefly for the Exponent, Purdue’s student-run newspaper. She earned a Master of Fine Arts in Writing from Spalding University, focusing on writing for children and young adults. She previously taught English and creative writing at Ivy Tech, where she also worked on the college’s literary journal, Wordmongers. She currently works for Preferred Rate Mortgage in Greendale and is serving as the president of the Dearborn County Young Professionals. When not writing, she can be found traveling, jogging, or spending time with her family, friends, and wild puppy, Ruby.
Reverend Studebaker is the senior minister of the Garden Park Unity Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, and resides in Bright, Indiana, with his wife, Donna, and their three children. Author of Wisdom for a Lifetime: How to Get the Bible Off the Shelf and Into Your Hands. Reverend Studebaker received his B.A. in religion, magna cum laude, from Western Michigan University. His most recent book addition is The Grid, an industrial/espionage thriller set in the electric power business. This is his first work of fiction.

Dr. Don Heinrich Tolzmann is the author and editor of numerous books on German-American history and culture, and a recipient of the Bundesverdienstkreuz of the Federal Republic of Germany. He served as Curator of the German-Americana Collection and Director of German-American Studies at the University of Cincinnati, and is President of the German-American Citizens League of Greater Cincinnati and Curator of its German Heritage Museum.
