Persons planning a visit to the library with intentions of seeing our genealogist should call ahead. All requests about family records must be sent via US Postal Mail and include a self-addressed stamped envelope with a $1.00 for copies. Up to one hour of research can be done at no cost except for copy cost when you send a self-addressed stamped envelope and the $1.00. Short questions about genealogy can be addressed via e-mail."

More Genealogy Research Opportunities are Coming.

With the opening of Aurora Library's Local History Library (in the old Aurora Railroad Depot). Hoping to better serve those who may want to do genealogy research, we have scheduled staff time at the Genealogy/Local History Room on the first Saturday of each month, 1-5 PM beginning in May. The Aurora Local History Library will be staffed the 1st Saturday of the month from 10 AM to 12 noon. So if researchers visit Aurora in the morning and wish to continue their research in Lawrenceburg, they may do so on the 1st Saturday of the month from 1-5 PM at the Lawrenceburg Public Library District.
